July 2023 🐉🚣‍♂️ The Sears family made quite a splash at the 2023 Dory Days parade with their imaginative entry inspired by the theme "Legends of the Deep"! With creativity and flair, they brought to life the legend of Tierra del Mar’s Loch Ness Monster right from Sears Lake.

Dory Days is a beloved annual celebration that pays homage to the rich maritime heritage of this coastal community. Held each summer, this vibrant festival brings together locals and visitors alike for a weekend of fun, tradition, and seaside revelry.

At the heart of Dory Days is the iconic dory boat, a traditional wooden vessel that has been used by fishermen for generations to brave the Pacific waves in search of bounty from the sea. The Sears Family has the White Cap, a dory built in 1975 by Jack Gilman and continue to fish out of it today.
